can I vote? My son is autistic. He isn't assigned his own aide because they have weaned him off for most of the day. They check in his class and sometimes help him on the playground. He does handwriting in the special ed class, directed by the teacher. But most of his academics are done independently. His 1st grade teacher has peer mentors too.

No my son does not have an aide. He is in an inclusion classroom so the special ed teacher or special ed aide is there for more then half the day. Plus he also has a teaching student so with the small class size and all the teachers around he gets the attention he needs, thankfully.
