yo ho ho: Fiction. Well, mostly. It was not a common pirate phrase, Little said, but it did derive from the sea chant “Yo ho,” used when hauling or heaving. It was popularized in “Treasure Island.”

Hello, all.

For some reason I find it easy to write rough drafts of story scenes as dialogue only. Ordinarily dialogue is sort of in the middle when it comes to how challenging it is to write for me.

Oh, yeah, Boo almost had a great escape this morning. I opened the deck screen door without noticing that the outside part of the door was open, and Boo jumped out onto the deck. I actually panicked for a moment, and tried to pick her up, but she wiggled free and hid under the deck chair. I had the presence of mind to shut the gate, and then lured her back in using the can of cat food from the fridge. Then we played for a half an hour in the basement. :lol:
