When I'm being pressured to make a choice my mind goes overloaded and I make the choice on impulse only thinking about the consequences afterwards and realise I did something wrong.

Nope! When I get really overloaded, I don't act. I don't think. I shut down. I'm worse than a deer in headlights...although as the years went by, I eventually learned to shut everything external *out* so i could slowly think it through. Then I would come out of it, then I acted. Learning meditation exercises (focused concentration/stimulus blocking, that sort of thing) helped a lot & now I can somewhat do that on-the-fly, in some situations.
