It's not a lot of people who can say they've held a Guy Fawkes night celebration/effigy burning with a real-life descendant of one of the conspirators of the gunpowder treason and plot.

I have, or should I say, will have. We're holding the celebration on Saturday the 7th instead of tonight.

Not really.

In 18th-century Boston they used to burn the Pope every year on the 5th of November. Gave it up in the 19th after all the Catholics arrived, I suspect. :D
