I don't do song lyrics anymore

As I started school, I realized that I really don't know anything about writing songs. This spark happens after an incident I have at a aquatic center. Now, It's gone. From now on, I'm writing poems, but I'm done with song lyrics.

is this aquatic center incident something that happens often? or a one off experience?

Two years ago, I dove into the deep end of the pool, almost drowned, and survived. Even though it was a brave thing, I still couldn't swim in deep water.

Once I went down a waterslide and almost drowned at the end.

You can get away with a lot when it comes to song lyrics. Sometimes it helps to just be straightforward, sometimes you can be abstract. I tend to use lots of wordplay in my own lyrics, generally double-meaning metaphors and rhymes within rhymes.

Yep, it's such a big part that it's actually my band name.

limerence consumed my life when i was 16 as well.

i'm 19 soon and it still lingers. it's been an interesting trip.

excellent that you use your band and music to express the sentiments (i think?)

my expressions of limerence were more visual and abstract.
