Before anyone asks, yes, I was in a relationship for a couple of years, but that probably happened because the girl straight up asked me "do you want to kiss me?". I guess it really does have to be that obvious..

I can relate. Wanna hear something that occurred to me about 6 months after a blind date?

I went on a blind date. Had not dated for over 5 years. Totally celibate. So, we're talking and such. She invites me back to her place. We sat there talking until about 1:30AM..

Now, if I read this right, the fact a woman invited me to her house was probably a signal things were good for at least a one nighter.

Still not sure about that. Feel free to weigh in ya'll.

And, it actually does take a woman doing something overt like asking me to kiss them or something that strong before I get the message.

One of my favorite Mary Chapin Carpenter songs is "Shut Up and Kiss Me".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-Yj7yFtBuY

from the lyrics:

Life's too short to be so apprehensive, love's as much the symptom darlin' as the cure
Oh baby when I feel this feeling, it's like genuine voodoo hits me
It's been too long since somebody whispered...
Oh baby I can feel this feeling that everything that you do gives me
It's been too long since somebody whispered
Shut up and kiss me
Shut up and kiss me

It depends on the woman.

Most woman like men who "take it" somewhat slowly.

Maybe you passed the test when you didn't "try something."

Next time, when you're sitting on the couch, stroke her fingers a little bit and see what happens.

Just to give an update to everyone who bothered. We met yesterday and sadly enough, I realized that she's so far away from the person I initially took interest in that I just don't feel like bothering anymore. The sheer unwillingness to understand and accept certain things, alongside a genuinely negative outlook on the world is something I just cannot keep around myself at this point.

Thanks again for taking an interest, this really is a lovely community. :)

Have you ever SEEN a pileated woodpecker? They're pretty fabulous birds.

As to deinonychuses (deinonychi?) I have no idea what they look like.
