What did you think about my test for immigrant from Syria:-)
Last time I read the comments below the article about the recent attacks in Paris, someone wrote it to all Syrians who claim to be victims "Christians" from Syria to invite a good Polish lunch, Kotlet schabowy (pork chop) with potatoes, Ksznka (black pudding), and 50 mL of good Polish vodka, if they are the ones who they say they are, we should be given Polish citizenship hosung and so on,, and treated as our brothers, but if they refuse to honor our national treasures (Pork chop and Polish Vodka) we should immediately deported to where they came from
Pork phobia apparently is a real thing.
A Turkish student worked as sales clerk in a chain drug store I worked at.
The boss told him "between customers at the register build that display of canned hams". The boss split.
I watched the Turkish guy with amusement as he treated each little canned ham like a piece of radioactive waste -touched them with only the tips of his fingers- and painfully slowly lifted each can out of the box one by one -and put them on the display.
But this phobia is not confined to religion. He told me "even Christians in the middle east are averse to touching pork.In fact you rarely ever see pigs depicted in pictures, nor hear the word them used in conversation."
Only Jews and Muslims actually have rules against pork but apparently every group in the region succumbs to local pork phobia.
So probably real Christians, and real Yazeeds, fleeing Syria, would fail your test, because they wouldnt touch the pork chops.

There are people who won't eat any kind of meat. The rule would eliminate not only Moslems and Jews, but Vegans of every other religion.

I think that is a terrible test...what makes Christians so special? they should start a new international movement called 'Only Christian Lives Matter.'
I have nothing against Muslims, but a large part of their community associated with extremists and terrorists.
I know that not all are extremists, but you need to take some measures.

Some measures, like discriminating against people because they aren't Christians?
I don't think those are appropriate measures....and if terrorists can pose as Muslim refugees why couldn't they pose as Christians? It's just religious discrimination.

So what, we let them do next 9/11 Charlie Hebdo, or Paris like attack in name stupid political correctness.
You saying it's discrimination and sadly you are right
But what do we do, let yourself slaughter in the name of political correctness?
This is partly their fault that they are defending these psychos.
I hate religious fanatics, whether we're talking about Christians, Jews or Muslims.
In my opinion you should not impose their views to others, and some Muslims so unfortunately that's what they do.
They come to Europe as "guests" and so should behave as such, it is to respect local customs. The same is true for Europeans, Americans or any "Westerners" who are going to the Middle East.
When I invite someone to my house as a guest, and the visitor started to behave as if he was the "owner".
Then I had to treat such "guest" with ceremonial a kick in the ass and remind him or her who's here OWNER
I'm not issue with Muslims as long they not want imposes on my their silly Sharia Law
I'm all for a good pork chop.I like to bread mine before frying and have with apples.Save the pan drippings to make gravy for the taters, yum!!Vodka sounds good, never had black pudding,I'd be willing to try if you would try a fried gizzard.lol
It's not a very good way to screen out terrorists, some people just don't like pork, some don't eat meat becuse of animal rights issues. Some don't drink becuse they are recovering alcoholics. Some Christians also think alcohol is evil.Mormons and Southern Baptists.
I was vegan for many years, but lapsed and eat some meat.I can't afford the tasty meat substitutes and got tired of beans.
There are Christians that don't eat pork,Adventists tend to be vegetarians and World Wide Church of God doesn't eat pork or any of the unclean meats.
We could do that test here with some adjustments, they have to eat fried catfish, pork BBQ and swill Budweiser.lol
I agree that ALL fundamentalists,Christian or Muslim are a pain.

There Pain in the Ass
The world would be good without those fundamentalist morons of all religions.
At the same time I do not think that religion is bad, on the contrary, I believe that religious values and spirituality make us better human beings.
With the fundamentalists it is just like hooligans in football stadiums that do not go to the stadium to enjoy the beautiful victory (or Glorious defeat ) of your favorite team, but just to be get drunk booze like pigs, beat hooligans of opposing team.
But there are also normal fans who think their team is the best (like WKS Slask ), but do not hurt those with whom they disagree,
For example, for me Christianity is the best religion in the world, but it is subjective, feeling because I myself am a Christian

I don't assume every person who is Muslim or comes from a muslim family wants to 'do the next 9-11' and christians are perfectly capable of extremism also....especially if they start getting preferential treatment as if they are by default better people.
I also don't think they all want to impose their views/religion on everyone else, the extremists do...but hell even a lot of christians try to impose their religion on legislation in the U.S, and would have a theocracy if it was up to them. Giving a certain religious group preferential treatment over another is just the kind of thing that can help lead to extremism in the first place. Also I think one could remain a muslim and still have respect for the place they migrate...what is christianity a 'local custom' there?
You don't want them imposing Sharia law, yet you think Christians should have preferential treatment...which in effect is pushing your religion, I am sure plenty of desperate refugees might 'convert' if it means not getting blown up in their own homes in Syria. Not to mention how would you distingish who is a 'real' christian and who isn't..terrorists could still get in just as easy they'd just have to pose as christians instead.

You right.
I don't think Muslim are bad persons, just some of them are against western values like freedom of speech, freedom of thoughts, women's rights, gay rights etc. the values that many Europeans hold dear.

Yeah that is the unfortunate part...I think some of it though has to do with them not having those things in Syria, from what I understand it was somewhat of a theocracy and that sort of authoritarian religious law doesn't just disappear because the region got destabilized. I mean some of the refugees might be fleeing the warzone in the hopes they can maybe have more freedom and rights and less risk of being blown up in their own homes.
I think it is important any refugees who show up are subject to the same rules as anyone else in the countries they come to, and should be documented...also these countries should maybe do something to check on if any suspected terrorists do try to cross I don't know if there is a picture database or names that could be recognized that could maybe help screen out refugees for extremists. I certainly am not saying have completely open borders where anything goes...but there's gotta be better ways to try and prevent terrorists getting through than testing whether they are christian or not.
The U.S should be taking more in my opinion since we largely helped destabilize the entire middle east...but we have all the right wingers jumping on the 'No Refugees because terrorists' bandwagon just using it as a tool to discuss the refugees as if they aren't people. Besides if we have such a 'great' military here I am sure they could handle a terrorist threat or situation on our soil. It seems there are many americans who love war, but only if it's on other countries soil.
