Continuing, and humorously: Hitler liked Islam due to its fascist ways--it's not just a religion; it is a political ideology. They still haven't got to the separation of church and state stage.

But the great majority of Muslim American do believe in it. That's a damn sight better than a great many evangelicals who don't believe that separation of church and state was ever intended in the US constitution.

Oh goodness, not THAT apprentice! The Sith always had a master and an apprentice, such as the Emperor (master) and Darth (apprentice). So then the question would be, was H.W. Bush the master, making W. the apprentice, or was W. the master, making Jeb the apprentice?

You'd need citations there. Looking it up quickly, 51% of US Muslims of one study wanted a choice of Shariah Law (that's religious fascism), whereas over 90% of the other groups didn't. Kinda sobering, really.

Every Muslim country the world over is a fascist hell hole, still. The thing with the Nazis is that they were utterly destroyed so they couldn't continue their fascism. Muslim countries can continue with it unhindered. And, they still seem to hold these fascist ideals to some extent when they move around.

I've heard of that study, and I know the people who conducted it are part of a right wing think tank, and such persons are not above tampering with the facts.

Yes it does appear in the world public opinion similar results apply for UK muslims. Shariah is one thing but what perhaps is more disturbing are these statistics
http://pewresearch.org/assets/pdf/musli ... df#page=60
According to Pew Research (2007): 26% of younger Muslims in America believe suicide bombings are justified.
35% of young Muslims in Britain believe suicide bombings are justified.
42% of young Muslims in France believe suicide bombings are justified.

This was back in 2007...since radicalization and the rise of ISIS it's thought the radicalisation of young muslim men and women is on the increase in the west (but by how much?). Based on these pre-ISIS statistics there may be a reservoir of resentful youth "ripe for the plucking"

My two cents as a Jew -

1. It's extremely offensive to me when people liken every politician they don't like to the Nazis. Especially when Jews do it. Especially as this starts a discussion of whether this guy is like the Nazis, where even if he isn't, that doesn't mean he's okay.

2. This poem is widely paraphrased in Israel. Not just as comparison to the Holocaust, but to the fact that we as Jews feel that nobody gave a damn about us then. So this poem is used in politics about how people might not care about others, not noticing that they might be next if they don't speak out now.

Hitler favored sound money, full employment, a booming economy, advances in science and technology, physical health, wellness, and was a vegan.

No one like that should ever hold office again.

Except Hitler's soundness in science ended when Jews led a particular field, such as Einstein in physics. So he promoted a Nazi party crank who, among other things, believed the universe began with hunks of ice floating in the void. That, and the Nazis went with Heisenberg's theories on how to build an atom bomb, as Hitler decided the proper way was "Jewish" science. Heisenberg in fact didn't know what he was actually doing in building an A bomb, plus he was purposely dragging his feet long enough for Hitler to lose the war first.
