Creating online map of Neurodiverse support groups help??
Hi Everyone,
So when my family were trying to find help and support we all found it really difficult to sift through all the waffle of information and find who to contact and who could help us.
It seemed that, at least in the UK, the only directory was created by the National Autistic Society, as if they have a monopoly on support groups.
So, I thought, why not create a big online map and directory of recommended support groups by the community? It doesn't just have to be in the UK.
It's still in early days at the moment and i'm just collecting a list of groups. You can see the site demo here: www.findmesupport.co.uk
And here's the list of groups we have together already: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
Please feel free to add one if you know a good one. And to give feedback or ask questions =).
Also, a bit random: is there anything you feel that makes a site "Autism friendly" that we can add?
Ashley
