Charlotte Or Samantha?

Charlotte is a feminine version of Charles which is an old Germanic word for man or manly so I object to the name Charlotte on principle. Samantha is, I think, Hebrew and means something like somone who listens to God.

When I first saw this thread, I thought it was about the TV show Sex And The City, LOL.
