The police said they later detained the driver.

CNN reports that she deliberately went on to the sidewalk three separate times - hitting whoever was in front of her. Her three year old was in the back seat as she did this. The Miss Universe Pageant was going on nearby.

At least the San Bernadino couple gave their baby to some relative to babysit. This lady brought the kid along for the ride. Wow! 8O

Turns out the kid wasn't hers ... they are still interviewing the driver.
