I want to go back to school starting this fall. I am thinking of what my interests are and thinking what to major in from there. I am interested in people with disabilities, mental disorders, issues people have, crime, computers, acting.

I have made a list of what careers to major in:

Special education
Criminal Justice
Social working
Computer Programming

Anyone know any more careers that would meet my interests? I know acting isn't a major but I can take drama in school.

I know a number of people who have criminal justice degrees... None of them could find work, others settled for jobs that didn't require college. Others went back to college.

Many people with degrees in nursing work in psychiatric/mental health settings. Also, if you get a degree in drama, but cannot immediately find an acting job, you can teach drama.

School's all about drama. You could certainly get a Theater/drama degree, but it's not a great stepping stone into work. I'd add physical therapy to your list perhaps, unless you only wanted to work with mental disabilities.
