CKhermit - I'm pleased to see Type O as someone's theme! I saw them once with the Ramones opening! 20 years ago I think.

ASPartOfMe- Those were striking. Very.

I suppose mine would have to be Cry of the Blackbirds by Amon Amarth:

Here are the lyrics:

Raise your swords up high!
See the black birds fly!
Let them hear your rage!
Show no fear!
Attack!

Charge your horses across the fields
Together we ride into destiny
Have no fear of death, when it's your time
Odin will bring us home when we die!

The ground trembles under us
As we make our thunder charge
The pounding hooves strikes blinding fear
Into their heart

Our helmets shine in the sun
As we near their wall of shields
Some of them turn and run
When they hear our frenzied screams

Draw your swords to strike
Hear the Black Birds cry!
Let them feel your hate!
Show no fear!

(Attack! Attack! Attack! Attack!)

Charge your horses across the fields
Together we ride into destiny
Have no fear of death, when it's your time
Odin will bring us home when we die!

The enemies are in disarray
Ride them down as they run
Send them to their violent graves,
Don't spare anyone
Dead and wounded lie all around,
See the pain in their eyes
Over the field an eerie sound,
As we hear the ravens' cry

I am an Amon Amarth fan as well
In better times in history the Hero would have been my theme :P

My theme song is Courageous by Casting Crowns. After I've been trying to tell people that I have Autism, I've been leaning on this song. I've already told my classmates. Next up? My MYSO(Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra) stand partner. I'm 4th chair in the cello section. She HATES it when I don't look her in the eye or do something that seems weird to her. I think that she may have some Asperger's, too, but A: she's undiagnosed and B: I can't tell her without getting her mad.

I LOVE the words...
"They been calling me a monster, ever since the day I was born"
It's about coming to accept being different and maybe a little crazy

I never thought about it before but I guess I have several. Probably some others I am not remembering at the moment.

Journey - Faithfully

The Beatles - In My Life

Motley Crue - Without You

Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart

Fleetwood Mac - The Chain

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird

Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne - Close My Eyes Forever

Kate Bush - This Woman's Work

Nine Inch Nails - Came Back Haunted
Really lots of NIN songs, they have practically been the soundtrack to much of my life.

Madonna - Live to Tell

Oh yeah, one more, how could I forget...

Pink Floyd - Learning to Fly

I used to listen to this when I was young.
These lyrics were comforting and helped me to get out of depression:

You are a child of the universe
No less than the trees and the stars
And you have a right to be here
And whether or not it is clear to you
No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should

Thinking back I've had lots of songs that fit a specific time in my life. This one has been my theme for the last several years:

Black Sabbath - Changes

Maybe not the happiest song, but it's so pretty.

This purely because when I first thought I might have Aspergers, I was feeling a bit crap and I was nervous about a date I was going on that evening, but I played this on repeat on the way to his house. When it got to the chorus I felt like I wanted to dance and jiggle about, and usually I'd stop myself, but I thought, 'Well f*** it, if I have ASD then I may as well make the most of it!' and had a great little jig and felt free for the first time in years. :) So now it reminds me that I can be myself.

An excellent song from a good album. Synthetica from that album is also really good.

Sad F*ckers of the World would make a good theme song.
