Is it true that in Australia prohibits the sale to persons born after 2000?

Just in the first few lines one can read that doctors are calling for a ban. But I doubt most politicians want to loose the tax-income.

Does Australia have tobacco farmers, or cigarette manufacturers? That is: enough to form a powerful lobby against this?

Not that I am taking sides about it.

It happens in Australia, fortunately Polish teenagers can sleep peacefully, because Poland borders with Ukraine, Belarus and most importantly with Kaliningrad

So you have porous borders with corrupt neighbors?

Not really, but it has its advantages sometimes
Among other things, such as the ability to show the government the "middle finger" when the government allows them self to much

Whenever I hear the word "ban" it sets off alarms since it is a favorite word of do-gooders, fascists, and control freaks in general.
Smoking is on a continual decline so there is no need to ban or further control what is already on the wane.

The GOP would have to ban religion to stay relevant.
