Is privacy beneficial? I would say no because people could make more informed decisions if they had all possible information about other people. However I still am opposed to government surveillance because there is a power asymmetry in it

I think privacy is beneficial--but not all the time.

I feel it is beneficial if you feel overloaded. You could, in privacy, hash out all which is overloading you.

Every great man has always relied on privacy to make their great decisions.

Privacy is a concept which is no longer applicable to our lives.
One ought to forget the concept, it is an anachronism.

Privacy is beneficial to the one who has it and detrimental to everyone else, like so many things in life. No wonder privacy tends to vanish when technology makes it possible.

Privacy when it existed was benificial because people were less afraid to try things out and fail. This helped people learn about themselves and grow as people. Now failure runs the risk you eithier becoming and instant punch line or immediate public shaming.

I think privacy is wonderful, because it gives you a chance to really get to know yourself and learn to appreciate yourself as an individual.

So long as the government thinks keeping secrets is of value, then YES, privacy IS beneficial.
