I forgot they were remaking that. The original was pretty decent.

That reminds me, I wouldn't say I'm "excited" about them, but I will definitely be getting Dragon Quest VII and VIII when they hit the 3DS.

^ Dragon Quest VII and VIII are definitely coming for 3DS? I thought they weren't since they went from VI to IX. Looking forward to that! Those games are good.

^What are they like? I'm not sure if I want to buy either of them, but I'm interested.

Well, technically they've been out on the 3DS for a long time now, but they're finally coming to America. VIII was released last year, and VII about three years ago >_<

I haven't played VIII yet, but I hear it's prettymuch like every other Dragon Warrior/Quest game ever. It's one series that really sticks to tradition, for better or for worse. VII is also very traditional, but was the first game to be in 3D. It has a similar engine and art style to IX and the remakes of IV-V-VI. It's also the first game to have cutscenes, but it isn't that bad, compared to the amount of cutscenes in IX >_<

^If only you could skip cutscenes in IX. *sigh*

Especially in multiplayer =)

But I'm kind of weird about cutscenes and story, I feel like I don't want to miss anything important, even if it probably isn't at all. So I don't usually skip them unless it's something I've seen already.

I got all excited when you said 'they're finally coming to America', because it made me hope they were already here, but then I realized you meant they were already in Japan. I wonder if they'll make it to the European 3DS?

@ Skitty: well, you've played IX Sentinels... The stories differ of course, but they are still similar enough that I would think you might like them since you like IX.

IX is a great game :D

My first fantasy was The Legend of Zelda (NES). The year was either 1989 or 1990.

^Corvus' past actually made me cry, especially the song that plays when Serena reminisces about him.

Yep.

I don't think there are any firm release dates yet, though: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2016/160202_2e.pdf

VII says "Summer 2016" for NA, but the other three release dates just say "2016".
