We just did a thing at work where we introduced ourselves and showed our social media profiles on a web meeting.

I thought I had picked a nice, friendly accessible looking profile for the company social media platform, but when I said "I need to update my profile picture" she said, "yes--you look so angry and unapproachable! You do need to update your image"

Dunning-kruger strikes again. I both bad at this stuff and bad at assessing my own skill in this area.

It's a bit depressing.

That sounds horrible, can't you just say you prefer to be anonymous or something like that?

I would hate to have a professional picture, it makes it so people can discriminate easily.
