Does Ted Cruz have autism?

I'm neurotypical, but i've known a lot of people with aspergers/autism throughout my life.

When I look and listen to U.S. presidential candidate Ted Cruz, it seems really obvious to me that he is on the autism spectrum, but I haven't seen anyone discussing it. His expressions, movements, sentence structure, and tone of voice remind me a lot of friends i've had throughout my life who have some level of autism.

I'm very interested to get the perspective of people that have aspergers/autism. Do you think Ted Cruz has some form of autism?

No. Ted Cruz is a psychopath/sociopath if he has any kind of condition. He's the ungenuine charismatic politician type after all.

I don't see him as autistic, no.

Ted Cruz is no autistic. He has a serious case of assholitis.

I knew many people in gov't service who were just like him, the "my way is the only way and everybody else will burn in hell if I have to shove them there!" bloody-minded types. the types with one-track minds, blinders on always, who see themselves as akin to doing god's work or as god's agents. in retrospect, at least some of those people had traits consistent with very high-functioning AS.

he strikes me as an "inspector javert" wannabe.

A modern politician on campaign spends 12-16 hours a day socializing, schmoozing, and meeting people. Then he does it all again the next day, and the next, and the next. It sounds like unmitigated Hell to me, and I'm not as far along the spectrum as some. I don't want to "project," everybody's different, but it seems unlikely to me that an autistic person would willingly choose such a lifestyle.

The NTs want to demonize us, and the autistics want to canonize us.

Obvious trend is obvious.

I dunno about anyone else, but I couldn't care less about which famous people might have autism.

It would have to be someone really interesting, and it would have to be proven, not just speculation, before I would even possibly care. It's likely I still wouldn't care anyway.

I would need a lot evodence more he is universally disliked and was considerd wierd and creepy back in college before I would become suspicoius. That could be autism, but it could be a lot of other conditions.
