I've been waiting on a friend to let me know when we can meet up Im a little impatient. I want to kind of push it along.

They've told me several times that they really want to, and they'll really get back to me and that there's no problem. Several weeks down the line, still no date to meet. They asked for my availability and I've told them. But nothing yet.

What's up? Should I chase it up? Back off? Are they shy and need encouragement? Forgetful and need reminding? Busy and unable? Should I ask if they're OK?

I don't know how to approach it.

When is this event supposed to be?

If it's within a few days, I would make inquiries pretty quickly.

It was just a casual meetup based on both of our diaries being free. No timescale as such. They asked for the dates Im available, they've said they'll consult their calendar and let me know, but so far nothing.

Im just in limbo a bit because I don't know how long I should wait or whether I should chase up!

I would call the person/people in a few days.

Just say you are "confirming" the meeting.
