Hey, that's one of Al Jourgensen's many side projects! :D It's kinda funny because apparently Al Jourgensen hates Steve Albini, and I kicked the thread off with two Big Black songs. I'm a fan of both however.

Another one I like...

I imagine the lyrics coming from someone that's just extremely irritable and annoyed with humanity, for being sickeningly banal and meaningless.

Try this. More depressive/less angry, definitely bitter. It feel like my life's story. The lyrics nail exactly how I feel in that state and the despondent mood of the song matches it so perfectly.

The End- ...and always:

LOL. Thanks for that explanation - makes me feel like a genius for the post even though I didn't know any of that. Must have been some sort of musical empathy.

Your profile says you're 22 and at that age I had so much energy to burn off after frustrating days. I found aggressive punk relaxing. I remembered that song from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack and all i knew about it was that Jello Biafra was the singer. How about these:

GnR did a more polished cover version

I prefer the heavier sound of the GnR version, but it also sounds too clean, less raw and real. They're even laughing at the end.

I didn't know that song was on the NBK soundtrack. I think I still have a copy of it somewhere that one of my friends bought at a garage sale many years back.

^I've heard bits of this album before, and I like what I've heard. :D They sound like the love child of Linkin Park and Nightwish. Speaking of which...

One is arguably one of the best teen angst albums ever, the other has a song called "End of All Hope" as its leading single. I think they should fit pretty well.

What was it about the early 2000s anyway? Music from this period is often derided, yet there was some pretty good stuff that came out around this time, especially in the alternative metal scene (although the 90s were better for nu-metal, IMO).

Geez, this thread is really straying from its original intentions. I was looking mostly for stuff that was really dark, brooding, and on the slower side. Oh well, maybe someone will post some Eyehategod bootlegs or something.

Nice catch :D
Speaking of slow and dark, "Hello" at 14:00 is one of my favorites

This album is a favorite of mine, even though the production on it is terrible. The music itself is brilliant however, and this song epitomizes the "slow, dark, brooding" sound quite well. :)

Here's another awesome CoB song that's kind of along the same lines. The video doesn't really do it justice though. :P
