Nintendo has kept to it's word by launching Miitomo and My Nintendo in the West on this Thursday in select countries.

Miitomo is Nintendo's communication app on iOS and Android.

You get to ask and answer questions via your Miis and your friend(s) Miis.
You can currently only add friends to the app from Twitter and Facebook.
You get more Mii customizations and outfits from playing the Mini game and spending earn coins.
No money is required to be spent, but those who are impatient to unlock stuff can spend money to buy tickets and coins.
If you preregister by Thursday, you get Platinum Coins to spend on My Nintendo Rewards (Successor to Club Nintendo).

My Nintendo gives you Platinum Coins for interacting with Nintendo's games, apps and services (including My Nintendo Rewards).
They can be redeemed for digital prizes such as themes, exclusive small digital games such as Twilight Princess Picross (3DS exclusive), downloadable DS games to 3DS with WarioWare Touched being the first game.

Gold Coins are given for buying digital games, DLC, themes and anything on the eShop for the time being.
You redeem Gold Coins for eligible digital retail games, Virtual Console games, steep discounts, and other prizes.

Nintendo has done away with those codes and surveys that plagued Club Nintendo users who hated them.

March ends with Mii this year

I guess its a little exciting?

I still remember how people whined about the old Nintendo rewards- lack of rewards, not enough rewards, etc. Self entitled gamers these days, always needing something extra just because they support a company. It reminds me of how people whine when the free games for Xbox and PlayStation arent good- people throw fits online over this stuff! Or when people whine about how a sale isnt big enough.

Time will tell if this new rewards thingy is any better. I highly doubt it.

This app is really fun especially the Mii customization, MiiPhoto and the Mii Drop mini game

I like dressing my Mii up in different outfits.

It's been discovered that My Nintendo Rewards has a way to input physical codes.
The return of the physical codes should happen with NX.

Nintendo is sending out codes to former Club Nintendo members to net you an extra 200 Platinum coins.

Also you use an image on your device or preset backgrounds to make pictures with your Mii.
