Firstly i must apologize for this probably stupid thread.

At my 4th i was diagnosed PDD-NOS, at my 11th the diagnose became Aspergia. Nothing wrong with that. But since my first diagnose i have been on 2 schools , an institution that aims to make people with Aspergia ``ready for society'' (which has a very good reputation among many ``clients'' i know), 2 ambulant mental health facilities, and still i seem to be so totally different from other people with Aspergia that they could not really help me. I've given up a while ago and decided to start my own life, with great success. A boyfriend, several nice jobs, respect from other people etc. All accomplished by myself, in 3 years. I just feel plain good.

So the big question is: Do i really have Aspergia? Am i just plain Weird with some habits commonly associated with Aspergia? If i want, i can just cancel those habits and become ``normal'' (eeek!). I've tried it and it was no problem. But i just don't want it. Or am i a Weird Apergian? Don't take me wrong, i have absolutely no problem with Aspergia, i just seem to be very unique compared to all Aspergians i've met, read or heard about...

I should suspect simply an Aspergian success story :D

Never heard about an Aspergian success story before :P

To be honest, it wasn't a success before i decided to do things on my own. I really suffered from all that ``care'' that they gave me and i didn't need. At my first school i even got attacked physically by personnel and most classmates (who even had Autism themselves) just because they could not cope with the fact that i didn't shut my mouth when they asked me to and i always defended others (``weakest of the class'', that kind), and that only in words. When i got away from there after 6 years (i went away once but the law forced me to go back, otherwise we would be fined), i went trough a course of institutions, and i was found to be a ``hopeless case''... When i finally took over myself there was no problem at all. I sometimes still suffer badly from those memories.

But i'm getting happier all the time and am confident that things will keep going successful :D

Nobody has Aspergia - that is the name of an imaginary virtual community, not a diagnosis.

I think they mean is that it is Asperger's syndrome not Aspergia.

Yes. But there are many nicknames for Aspergers. Meaning, was that comment a nitpick or not? I suspect De_Zeurkous is well aware that is not the official name of the diagnosis.

So, I was wondering if that was sarcasm or just a nitpicking...

The drummer i march to is the guy who played the bongos in the 6 million dollar man. My life is pretty spiffy.
