Anyone else like this holiday besides me? I like to play pranks on people or troll just to see who falls for it. I will post fake stories or something and pretend if I have a good joke on my mind.

I do have one on my mind but I am afraid it would backfire because my husband told me a few years ago it was a bad idea and besides I have seen that joke been played before on Craigslist and it never goes well because parents get upset and non parents and the ad always gets taken down because people can't take that joke even though it's obvious it's a parody of people who rehome their pets.

It's okay...as long as you don't really scare people.

As long as you don't say somebody died, then say April Fools.

No. It's my least-favorite day of the year. I reduce my exposure to human interactions every April 1st.

Communication is difficult enough on a normal day, but I can't stand having to deal with wankers who purposefully delight in being tricky or deceitful every April 1st.

All of the online antics help me forget that it's my ex-wife's birthday.

It's just another day. In the UK, we don't have April Fools as a "holiday".

Well, technically, it's not really a "holiday" here, either. We don't get the day off from work, for example. And even Hallmark hasn't found a way to parlay it into a day to send greeting cards.

I hate April Fools Day, to the extent that I stay home and hide. It's a deal-breaker in a friendship for me.
When I was a child, every day was practical joke day, to the bullies. Enough.

I'm neutral on it. I like fun, lighthearted pranks, but nothing hurtful. I don't play any pranks on anybody, but tend to get pranked. As long as it's nothing really bad, I'm cool with it.

I don't like real life pranks, or anything cruel.

I don't mind online 'fun' bits - fake news stories (as long as they're obvious enough) and companies releasing products that aren't real. These are things that, even if I fall for them, I have time to realise and don't have to make an idiot of myself. I fell for one today, but on closer inspection I worked it out. A second one caught me out too, but in that case it's because it was so rubbish that it really was mundane and completely believable.

On balance, I'd prefer it not to exist because you can't pick and choose - yes, there will be some light-hearted news stories, but there are also too many people out to embarrass others.

Yeah, I hate that one - especially at work.

I just thought of one to play at work today. I would have to do it between breaks so no one will see it and then write April Fools on the board to explain why everyone's stuff had been swapped.

April Fools doesn't bother me. I appreciate is all the gags they put in the newspapers, like spaghetti trees.

One slightly sadistic thing I like to do is wait until someone is gulping down their drink and say something unexpected. It's mean, but it's also humorous so I can generally get away with it. Another joke I used to do was tell the people around me that someone famous had died, and see who took me seriously.
