Right now, my school isn't autistic-friendly.

I don't know of any other people on the spectrum in my school. I got hassled a lot in elementary school and middle school. By high school I stopped a lot of the things that earned ridicule as well as talking. No one bothered me and I left them alone. These days, I'm in tenth grade and I talk to friends, though I'm still kinda quiet. No one at school knows I'm an aspie except a couple good friends.
I'm feel pretty well accepted now by my peers, but that may be because I don't often exhibit things that would make me unacceptable or weird. It could also be that they talk behind my back.

Not knowing of anyone openly autistic in my school, I can't really know if it is autism accepting.

It seems like my school is antagonistic to autistic people.

Nope, definitely not. However, everyone there really likes me, even though they think I'm perfectly normal. The only problems I have are with the other special ed. kids (high functioning) because they're a bunch of immature jerks. I threatened lawsuit against one of them for attacking me, and they haven't messed with me since. My mom's on a suing spree right now and living next to two attourneys doesn't hurt!

That's awful. :( I think if things don't get better, I may drop out and get my GED. School is so hard socially.

My social structure of my college is a nightmare for autism.

My university is great. High school was hell though. Although, to be fair, I didn't find out about Aspergers 'till after I left.

After I got diagnosed with AS my teachers started treating me slightly different (although I didn't want them to) and we have teaching assistants and a Support for Learning department who know all about it.
