I have some relationship related questions to ask, but want to check to be sure I, as someone who does not have a diagnosis of Asperger's, but is falling in love with someone who likely does, is allowed to post on the forums.

Thanks!

Yes, you are. Lots of partners and parents and friends and people-otherwise-connected-to-ASDers post here.

For all those Aspergians out there who have lost hope:

Can't you see the amount of NT ladies who desire us--hook, line, and sinker?

Until I got older, fatter and less attractive, I had no trouble attracting people. Keeping them is a different story. It's a perfect example of the 'mask'. I just fade out as they see all the repetition, rigidity, complete lack of spontaneity, and once one through the prepped conversation tricks, I'm really boring on top of all the other stuff.

Then when they see what it's like when I overload and have outbursts or worse, real meltdowns, well, it's a turn off.

You are indeed welcome here.

There are plenty of people here who aren't autistic. Parents with autistic kids, people with an autistic significant other or crush, people who are studying autism, people with autistic friends, people with other psychological disorders, and people here for other reasons.

It's definitely nice to have people here who are not totally clueless about how to handle social interaction and all that other stuff that we suck at. That way it's not the blind leading the blind.

There is a lot of valuable information here. And, you will find most of us are nice, just lacking in social graces such as my not welcoming you. I saw what mikeman7918 said and I realized my mistake.

Sorry about that...

So, welcome :) duhhhhhhh.......

Very polite to ask first. :)
