Entrapment is luring people into admitting or committing illegal actions.

If someone asks for something, you do your best to oblige.

You want "stream of consciousness"?

Ok then...

The whole US attitude is completely screwed up. The country where the dominant social force is right-wing Christianity, so you've got to be a good Christian but it's ok to trample people and screw them over to get paid more, because the dollar is King, and it's a right to own a gun.

There was a quote in the papers about the recent massacre which said that the gunman had purchased "an ungodly amount of ammunition". Can you not see the fundamental problem which exists in this statement: the fact that it somehow implies that there might be such a thing as a "godly" amount of ammunition?

What happened to giving up material things? Turning the other cheek? Treating others as you wish to be treated?

It seems to me that it's a right to say whatever you like, provided what you say agrees with the Church, the State and the Police. And what they say is generally contradiction-ridden BS.

It's morally acceptable to completely f**k up countries such as Nicaragua, Vietnam, Cambodia, Afghanistan and Burma, is it? Or to ignore environmental treaties that are possibly our only hope of long-term survival?

Hypocrisy and ignorance walk hand in hand.

And yes, I know the British were just as bad. When it comes to Empire-building, the Portugese and the Dutch and the French were also hypocritical murderous bastards. And then there's the Vikings and the Romans....

That famous quote about "absolute power corrupts absolutely" is SOOOO true. It is clear that no-one is learning the lessons of history. You cannot force illogical and twisted values onto other nations and your own people for any length of time without either collapse or rebellion or both. The British learned all this a Century ago so you guys wouldn't have to. But just as we didn't listen, because we thought we were invincible and somehow acting on behalf of God, so America won't listen either.

I have nothing against Americans as individuals as I know some really cool people, but added up into one nation you guys are really very scary indeed.

I really can't say I disagree with you.

We learnt from our history? I doubt it. All you have to do to disprove it is look at the two world wars.
