(I may not be autistic)
Absolutely not.
I'm usually the one who notices when others get them mixed up. :)

Since I am dealing with artists, I can never tell. Some are just so accepting of the odd (yay for me!!) and others are very, very observant and do notice.

That's why those things occur to me. I would notice too.

And what I was trying to convey was important because it's a fundamental issue with 3D graphics that are mesh based.

It did bug me.....

BTW. I don't have any problem with East and West. But it's probably because in my mother language the names of world directions are literal.
East = Wschód = literally "Rise",
South = Południe = literally "Noon",
West = Zachód = literally "Set",
North = Północ = literally "Midnight".
Basically they the names tell you what world direction the Sun is at what time of day. I pay a lot attention to the Sun so world directions are easy. I just need to face a direction (usually I choose South) and place myself at my home in imagination, facing the direction while in my room. Then I know where all other world directions are.

Oh gosh yes!! ! Even as a child I would put the wrong hand over my heart for the pledge (USA). I still have to think about it because it can depend on what point of view someone is talking about. My right or yours? Too much work to think about it all!! !! ! Just point!! !!
