You know who was really good in the early 70s? Bill Withers.

I'd be in a bunk bed at camp, and I would listen to "Lean On Me" when I was 11. This was the start of me feeling aesthetic things. Before then, I thought all poetry and stuff was "sissy stuff."

^^^ that was pretty advanced/mature of you at age 11 to be able to grok such. I didn't "get it" until I was in my 20s, if then.

Thank you for noticing :) I'm in my fourth month. I was afraid someone would just think I was getting fat

I don't mean to be nosy but where did this come from? Kinda got confused how this fit in the thread. Is someone having a baby? I love babies!

I was mature enough, also, to count my mosquito bites one night when I went to the latrine. I had 240 of them.

I had a few moments of lucidity during that time--but there was still much that was confusing to me.

Yep...at this YMCA camp, they called the bathroom the "latrine."

Do your kids know about your diagnosis?

That's one thing I never did: have kids.

Two of them do. The third was taken away from me by a very vengeful mother. Let's put it this way, the forensic psychologist told me that if I kept trying to see my daughter Severe damage because of the conundrum her mother created. Although I only sought supervised visitation, she fought me to the point of parental alienation. The psychologist said that every time she would start to enjoy herself, she would freeze up very badly. And when she would do that, she would withdraw even more. So, I had to make the choice...see my daughter or let her grow up without the strife. I haven't seen her in almost ten years. I don't even know if she remembers me.
