And by 'gender neutral' I mean sports that fit under the following criteria:

-It has both a male and female division both of which have equal amounts of media coverage. (mixed may be included as well)

-Men or women aren't seen as outcasts by that sport's community in any form, shape or way.

That's about it. I hope I can find a sport where men aren't always in the spotlight.

If "equal amounts of media coverage" means, only once every 4 years during the Olympics, which is when 90% of Americans care about them. Which is a shame. We only care about the vast majority of Olympic sports during the Games, and then we only care about American athletes. :(

But the second criterium fits---men and women are equally accepted by the sporting community in those sports.

I agree with Tennis. It was the first sport that came to my mind.

Among team sports, I guess volleyball. Soccer too. Not sure how female soccer is viewed around the world as I'm an American.

I think in order to call a sport truly "gender-neutral" it would have to involve direct competition between the manl and female athletes- not separate leagues.

I'm pretty good at Wii Sports Tennis myself. My main strategy is to hit the tennis ball so hard that it goes flying.

I'd say UFC's women's division is pretty close to the men's in terms of popularity.
