So currently one of my options is looking at an apprenticeship as an electrician. My biggest concerns with this are one, being able to secure an apprenticeship in the first place and two, given how my anxiety manifests physically, worrying slightly about how I might manage the more physical aspects.

I would be open about my AS but I need to be able to manage the aspects that might make this more challenging. I have support group next week and I will try and speak to the facilitator who works for the Kent Autistic Trust who run the group and see what she says.

Before you disclose your autism, it's a good idea to have something specific to pinpoint it on - when does it affect your work and how? If you simply just say you have Aspergers without anything to go along with it, people may get the wrong idea.

Try to build up your cardio and do some weights,
this will give you confidence and the ability to do this work.
