He was really impressed! (I'm UbbyUbbyUbby's mum).
But being a typical male, he couldn't say so because it's pink.
My other son and the neighbours kids said it's an amazing picture.

LOL my 6 year old brother hates anything pink.
I've drawn some aliens before, but my scanner's broken so I can't get them on my computer.
I don't think they'd be as good as UbbyUbbyUbby's though.

Have him "play around" with Windows Paintbrush. Starting by making basic shapes (circles, squares, then start using the Line tool. He might be amazed at what he can make. That's the program I used to make the above image.
Oops, sorry the multi edits. One thing I wish to impart to UbbyUbbyUbby, don't draw to impress or for others. Draw for yourself. That's when your talent will shine.

WHiteskunkd id you learn to draw with pencil and paper first? Yes I did. Many artists started that way. Sadly those early drawings were lost from moving around and some from a house fire (when I was 8 y.o. the house caught fire from bad wiring). And don't forget crayons or chalk. Also try photography. It's a way to find interesting subjects to draw. If your school has art classes, take as many as you can.
And like I told your mum. Don't draw pictures for others. Draw them for yourself. Here are two I recently took at the coast.
