Spice cake with penuche frosting. It's my grandmother's recipe and a birthday tradition.

Homemade carrot cake at any other time.

What's wrong with olives? Mind you I couldn't stand them until I was in my mid 20s and only like the black ones not the green.

I love cheesecake too, lemon meringue pie and a well made carrot cake with the amazing yoghurt frosting. Neither do I say no to good ol' fruit cake so popular this time of year.

Cheesecake is my kid’s favorite dessert that I make. I’ll probably make it for his birthday but the candles might be kind of weird in it.

He’s not that crazy about more traditional cakes, and I do make a good cheesecake. :chef:

I love baking but my waistline doesn’t love it.

Don't worry about the candles looking weird. Let's break a bit from traditional expectations this year!

I think he'll love it.

all olives to me, but especially the green ones, are bitter, rubbery of taste and texture, salty to excess, totally unpalatable, i can even tell when something was cooked with olives in it but had 'em all removed, the flavor they leave behind ruins it for me.

I've never thought of those things in terms of cake...

I have many cake recipes but have been too lazy lately to make any of 'em.
