Business is booming, so we've had to open the Annex. It's a cozy place, the lighting's soft, and the music's mild. We'll be serving tea and soft drinks, but muffins are always on the menu! :D

So pull up a chair and let the sun pour in through the stained-glass windows, take a deep breath, and say howdy, or nothing at at all. You may leave a note on the graffiti board, if you like.

I offer the artwork of a young artist, Andrea Trenbeath, who graciously allowed me to use one of her works, "Two Dinosaurs," with my own caption added.

Her website is: www.UnstableArt.com

Enjoy! :D

I love it, too! The subject matter is perfect, and the colors are so peaceful. It's just a nice morning with the Dino-Aspies! :D

Bazza! Good morning!

I doubt that it'll get all that crowded, but just in case: If you pull out the third book from the end (the one by Nabokov) on the second shelf, the bookcase will revolve, and the stairway leading to our escape tunnel will be available. :D

Its evening here (6:40 pm as I type)

I am back at work. I am going to a Freemasons meeting at 7:30

A little before your time at WP, Apatura started a thread on conspiracy theories. I replies I was a Freemason and killed the topic

Ask me anything you want. I have no secrets (except for the handshake) :D

No.

Time flies. I have to leave real soon. I was posting in the topic about creating an over 30 forum.

I never read the DaVinci code. I have read other similar stuff. Freemasons is more accuratly described as a "drinking club".

got to go

ttfn

I think I need to curl into a ball in the corner.

All these strong opinions about opening a new forum is stressing me out. Really I want to come here and learn and laugh and commiserate among kin, but this evening that isn't happening.

I have this incredible to-do list, am completely overwhelmed with the reality of my life, and now more than ever I can use a reasonably healthy place to escape. I will have to seriously curtail my WP addiction down to like one hour a day for the unforeseen future, starting tomorrow.

If somebody wants to buy my house in Hawaii, that'd make my to-do list loads shorter :) My email is below.

Hi aylissa!
We don't have those kinds of lists in the Annex. Try this list for a feel-good flashback:

Minnie Riperton

And that same year, do you remember "Lady Marmalade" and "Philadelphia Freedom"? 1975. What a good year!

:D

Ahh yes - great songs and I agree, great year for songs. There was some great R&B from that era that I love. The Floater's 'Float On' is one of my faves. It's very relaxing :)

Yay! See, this is how to do it.
Not the best place (it'll get overrun by
all the new members) but
you just have to make your
own threads.

What were you doing in the spring of 1975?

I was working at a daily morning newspaper, as the cameraman, as it was known in those days. I shot all the halftones, line shots and PMTs. Everything I developed by hand. I always smelled like fixer. Had the radio blaring (as much as the editor would allow). He was banging the society editor in a construction trailer out behind the main building, 8 o'clock pm sharp, every evening except Saturday.

I was really good at that job. :)

Hi calandale!

We try harder! Good morning!

Have a nice cup of oolong and an Oregon blueberry muffin, fresh and steamy from our oven!

By coincidence I was listening to some of my old tapes last night and Philadelphia Freedom was on one of them.Other songs that I remember 1975 for are Eagles 'Lyin' Eyes',Bee Gees
'Jive Talkin' and Olivia Newton-John 'Have You Never Been Mellow'

Eagles were cool, but gods how I hated disco.
