sitting in my old Kauai Kruiser on Polehale Beach listening to "Hotel California" that the local radio station played over and over and over. . .along with "Misty Blue" and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" was my 1975 memory.
nice art work, Yowler. . .I resemble the Dinosaur.

Hello to Pluto, postpaleo and sinsboldly!

Oooh, yeah, "Have You Never Been Mellow," that was in the que. The others, too. It's amazing how much memory a song brings up (that and smell).

Just woke up from my night. Not enough sleep...only been getting about four hours per night. Groan. :?

Kitty needs more snuggle.

Later.

Hmm...not sure what to do about this thread.
Should it move to the new forum? I was kinda
unhappy to see the old cafe disappear.
Should this be stickied?

Should I go to bed?

I kinda thought the old Dino threads links should have remained sticky, since they re-direct easily to the new spot. And, yeah, being stickied underneath the Cafe link, here, would be the right spot, until some mass develops. Then, with the link remaining sticky, the actual Annex moves to the new site. Does that make any sense? I need sleep.
:D

What were you doing in the spring of 1975?

I would love to be lying in my bedroom in the spring of 1975 so much right now...or dangling in our frangipanni tree reading a book...that's what I would have been doing.

I'm trying to wrap my head round this.

The cafe has suddenly become all serious and "In-depth"?
I think I had a horrible premonition of that.

I'm lost.

I was out yesterday.
I missed the opening of the annex today, or I would have popped in earlier.
I was composing a message on the "new forums" thread when it all happened.
My message essentially said that a forum just called "The Dino Cafe" would have been perfect.

I guess the cafe has burnt down.
Only the annex is left - and that's already smouldering.

There's not exactly been a wealth of posting going on in the new forum, and I'm sorry to say it, but Alex seems almost to be gloating: "I told you so".

Yes... move the generally light-hearted cafe out from where it was findable by newcomers, into the "heavy" forum that just says nothing to me, for instance, and I'll stop posting there.

The thread was home. It had grown from a small kiosk to a busy cafeteria. It needed a bit more space. Instead, it has been hidden behind a concrete wall.

I think I'm in mourning.

Hi Lau

Thanks for dropping in! Don't worry. It can always it moved back, if it doesn't work. Let's give it some time. Titles can be changed. Of course, I agree that "The Dino Cafe" would have been perfect. I even offered that many pages back in the original thread (and in a PM). It doesn't describe content or intent, just that it's for older folks (and in a light-hearted way). And, oh giggle, 28? Well, I do remember that when I was 20, 28 did seem very mature, and, even, old.

Oh well, wait and see!

Glad to see you (and love your voice).

:D

Did you hear that coffee dude? He handles the volume. I just listen.

Oh, sorry labor laws prevent us from using coffee dude here. Hours per week, you know. :D

Our barista is Ekatarina. (Kat). She holds the world's record for fastest espresso pull, has a masters degree in psychology, and is a certified massage therapist. Don't forget to book our massage room. The special this week is one hour in trade for a macrame basket hanger.

Let us know what your favorite incense is, and we'll stock that, too.

The sun has just come out. Must go and water the plants. Especially since it's almost harvest season!

Pachouli.

Who said coffee dude was paid? He wants to be with me and this is the price.

I'll have to go to Goodwill and see if they have Macrame. Nah. I"ll never go there. I know that.

Coffee dude may sit with you, and even tickle your toesies, but it would hurt Kat's feelings if someone else encroached on her territory. After all, she has three kids to care for! I promised her the job when we began construction, and she's been here since opening day. :D

Pach it is. Also have some lavendar and rain is very popular.
