"Weird" things you find relaxing

Showers, swimming, rainstorms (not REALLY severe weather), water, the quiet sounds of a fan, cuddling with a pillow

I was at a meeting today. I got board and found myself watching the blades of s ceiling fan.

Taking apart a pen and reassembling it over and over.
Making extremely long chains of paperclips.

I light a candle and watch the flame dance and flicker.

That brings back memories from grade school, where everyone I was around used to sing that. It was so funny.

Standing at the corner, watching street lights turn green.

This is also very relaxing for me

Taking a strip of paper and folding it 45-degrees so that the strip now points at a right angle to it's previous orientation. Repeat. End up with a thinner strip or a spiral that looks like a square from above. I've never tested it but I don't think I pick up a long strip of paper and *not* do this.

The Llama song must have been created long after my time in grade school (early Sixties).

I never head it, nor heard OF it, until I suddenly saw tons of spoofs of the song on U Tube during the 2008 election year when folks would find ways to work Obama's name into the song. Both the original song, and the Obama spoofs are all quite cute.

I finally got a coffee mug with the lyrics on it.

Playing "Sweet Drmzzz". It's free online. I played all the game levels but sometimes I play a level just for relaxation.

Concentration meditation, staring at a flame, or animals. Silence, isolation, and drinking coffee slowly.

When I really need to relax, I dim the lights, light some incense, and bury myself in blankets/pillows on the sofa. (Somehow laying at a 45 deg angle is more comforting than laying flat or sitting upright.)

Being perched high off the ground in a sturdy place, like in a treehouse, bunk bed, balcony.

When I'm nervous at work, I get cold and clammy, so I run my hands under warm water from the faucet.

Recently discovered ASMR, too, which is wonderful!

Rain - and looking at something spinning. I love holding my squishy ball in a couple of hairs and making it spin by pulling and slacking the hairs.

I forgot a huge one: having my hair gently stroked is amazingly comforting.
