 Rain and floods bring chaos to Britain's biggest day in history: Millions battle through torrential downpours to cast their EU Referendum vote as latest poll shows result is on a knife edge

If you Brits don't mind a quote from across the pond:
Image

Quote:
“For the want of a nail the shoe was lost,
For the want of a shoe the horse was lost,
For the want of a horse the rider was lost,
For the want of a rider the battle was lost,
For the want of a battle the kingdom was lost,
And all for the want of a horseshoe-nail.”

Not sure why, it just seems appropriate.

Would the floods differentially effect voters of once stance over another.

I would think the floods would effect middle class mums with kids in tow to be concerned and old folks more than young people. Big vote days with queues like these are tough enough for working class that can't take much time out and have families and schedules to juggle.
Which would make it strong for Remain since that is highly supported lib college kids and corporatists, globalists and bankers.

I wonder more if some being closed half hour to after hours effects their regions completely by having too many voters left out?

That makes sense to me.

Exiters are fighting for a cause, "Remain" is to merely uphold the status quo.

Also, Mr. Farage might of been cleverly discouraging "remainers" from going through the hassle of voting, indicating not to worry, because you will win.

News on the hour has Leave at 53% and Remain at 47%, but it is still early.

I tuned in as a french bulldog man with a cartoon accent announced a 60/30 for leave. I thought it was whole enchilada >_</ It was Wellingborough.
Still its amazing to watch a historical event that allows people a voice (even if they refuse them... they now know how many are unhappy. Not a small percent of disgruntled racists but hurting middle class that are drowning into poverty level. They just want a line thrown.).
They are ending counts for the night for that location a Scot sounding guy just said. Now the feed is from a gymnasium.
