No studies of young adults with autism - ?

Participation is probably limited to those living near Madison, WI, but I'm reposting this, anyway:


The UW Lifespan Family Research Group is looking for individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) between the ages of 18-30 and their families to participate in a research study.

The Working Together Study is an Education and Support Program for Young Adults with ASD and their Families. The study has two goals: 1) to promote the development of advocacy and social skills in young adults with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) 2) to enable families to support their adult children in achieving educational and employment goals.

We are asking adults with ASD and their mothers and fathers to participate in this study. In order for a family to be eligible to participate the following study criteria must be met by the adult with ASD:

• the adult must provide ASD diagnosis documentation (either from a health care or educational professional)
• the adult with ASD has not been diagnosed with an intellectual disability
• the adult must be 18-30 years old
• the adult must live at home with his or her parent(s)
• the adult should have less than 20 hours per week of classes and work combined
