There is concern that multiple rival groups in Cleveland will be openly armed and in close proximity to one another:

Head of police union wants Ohio Gov. John Kasich to issue "some kind of executive order or something" to temporarily ban open carry in Cleveland, adding that he's unconcerned about whether such action would be constitutional:

I agree with the governor's office here:

Quote:
“Law enforcement is a noble, essential calling and we all grieve that we’ve again seen attacks on officers,” the spokeswoman, Emmalee Kalmbach, said in a statement. “Ohio governors do not have the power to arbitrarily suspend federal and state constitutional rights or state laws as suggested. The bonds between our communities and police must be reset and rebuilt — as we’re doing in Ohio — so our communities and officers can both be safe. Everyone has an important role to play in that renewal.”

We need to peacefully resolve these issues. We should not be stubborn and we should not be engaging in violence. And we must continue to uphold our rights and correct where abuses occur.

Kasich is the only other candidate of the lot who has still yet to endorse Trump the other being Bush. It's obvious Kasich is a Nevertrump still down in the dumps about losing that needs to be replaced.
