Might I suggest that, at such event, there shouldn't be a delegated stim space...because if the event is a celebration of the spectrum, then we shouldn't have to worry about what other think of our behavior; this is a chance for them to meet us on more equitable territory.

Places to stim in privacy could/should be provided, but it should also be something that we are allowed to do as we feel appropriate and as we need. It shouldn't be ostracizing at a hypothetical event like this.

Didn't mean it that way, very sorry about that. I mean like how some raves have areas for dark light shows even if the venue is outdoors in the day. And to give a private place for those who want it. I feel self-conscious about stimming in public because being told not to for so long.

Something I wouldn't go to, I'll be prideful when it gives me something but until then it is a cruel isolating disability.

No offense taken! My stims are pretty hard to spot unless you know what you're looking for. Most people would probably just find me fidgety.

Just figured that if anyone ever decides to act on this idea, might as well brainstorm for them. :wink:
