Anyone else like this? I often like the aesthetic of things, but I just don't care for the intellectual or cultural side of things. An example would be cybergoth or Asian stuff.

I like Baroque Art very much----but I can't stand to look at it; it gives me a headache.

I love how anime characters look, but I'm not into anime at all.

I like polo shirts and cargo shorts, but here that's associated with 'jock' and 'bro' males - not what I want to give off.

I just like the clothes is all.

I like polo shirts and cargo shorts too. I don't generally wear polo shirts and cargo shorts together, though.

I wear chinos with polo shirts, and tee-shirts with cargo shorts.

I don't know why. Maybe I'm old?

Film noir. I absolutely LOVE the aesthetics - the camera angles, lighting, the use of shadow, even the clothes (especially the women - love the femme fatale look!). But nine times out of ten I find the plots extremely boring. I have an opposite feeling toward the fantasy genre however - I quite enjoy novels and video games, as I like stories that play out in a world with different rules than ours. But I really dislike most fantasy-themed artwork.

Huh. I guess that's why I like Haruki Murakami and David Lynch stuff so much. They both kinda play with neo-noir and fantasy at the same time. Never realized that until now :)
