It's obviously Garak. I would have answered that in the poll if it were an option, and I'm kind of amazed that it's not because he was easily the most interesting character.

I voted for Worf, but Odo comes in a close second. Had Garack been on the list, I'd have voted for him.

I didn't add Garak as I was keeping more to the main characters. The ones who's names appear in the opening credits. Garak's didn't.

He ended being a critical character in the war in later seasons, though. Anyway, he's my favourite so I didn't select anyone else in the poll.

I didn't like DN9 at first, but eventually warmed up to it. I didn't think it had particularly strong stand-out characters, but the whole ensemble came to work quite well together. The later seasons with the Dominion war were much stronger I thought -- that was when they found their stride.

Yes, I had trouble here too, I nearly named my son Garak. I know, the depths of my geekyness know no bounds. The relationship between Worf and Jadzia...it didn't last long enough...reciting poetry and throwing things...getting injured...reciting Shakespeare in the original Klingon...I miss it so.

Quark and his misadventures were the highlight of the show for me. Garak comes in at second...

We never got to see much of the real Garak. He mostly hemmed clothing and was only occasionally called upon to get his hands dirty (e.g., "In the Pale Moonlight").

Truly, I am a fan of the Ferengi rules of Acquisition! They were awesome.

I'll go with Odo and Jadiza Dax, since they are my favourites.

I never cared for Jadzia Dax at all, I'm afraid. In the first season or so, didn't they try to make her a cold, sort of Vulcan-ish scientist, and then apparently sensing it didn't work, they almost completely reversed her personality?

Ezri Dax, however, was quite interesting, and she got to explore the nature of symbiotic existence in creative ways.
