I've been noticing it getting dark earlier.

^^ I think there's a shorter species of Liatris that I've seen a few times in the last few days. More of a procumbent lawn variety.

My bats like to fly thru the porch while I’m sitting out there.

I don't know of a procumbent liatris, but that doesn't mean much. I used to know the species a long time ago when working on a native prairie survey in Illinois.

A liatris will get leggy if it doesn't have sun. And some tall flowers, when mowed, still flower in the grass.

Can you send a picture?

No, it used to worry me because I always heard they could get caught in your hair.Old wives tale.Anything that can eat a mosquito in the air at a high speed at night isn’t likely to bump into my big head.

The women on the beach have switched from bikinis to one-piece bathing suits.
