EDIT - and an anteater. I love their tails!

Picture reminded me of watching a Rhino trying to
eat a peacock's tail (thought it was a bush). :P

A cheetah.

Then again, what are those animals with black fur and have one or two white stripes from the top of their head to their tail?

Do you mean skunks? I wouldn't want one of those for a pet!

I love all cats. My favorite wild cats are tigers, ocelots and lynxes. There is a breed of cat called the Ocicat, which resembles an ocelot and is a mix of Siamese and Abyssinian and some Oriental Shorthair bloodlines. It's really cute!

I think the most gorgeous cats are bengals.

I'm seriously considering adopting a tarantula.

Although I love cats, I can't be trusted to look after them (not that they need that much looking after, but the last time I looked after one, it left after three days... to find a more reliable food source, I believe.)

A tarantula needs feeding occasionally. I've been looking at The British Tarantula Society's website. Four crickets. once a week, They won't be too fussed if they're not fed for a month. Full clean out of their home once a year. I think I can manage all that. I was going to post an image, but they freak people out a bit, so go look at the BTS site - under their Therophosidae Gallery - loads of images.

There is an American Tarantula Society site too. Interestingly, they link to the BTS, but the BTS don't link back. Aren't we British just toooo smug?

How about a flying horse that could turn you invisible at your will?

I already have 3 jungle animals. They're long, green, scaly, and like to rest on tree branches. :)

If I couldn't get an iguana, I'd have a dog.

They're great pets. They're very easy to keep and they make no noise whatsoever.

Yuck! To each their own I guess.

The "Yuck" made me think.

I've always had arachnophobia, the same as 99.99% of non-stupid people on the planet (go on - admit it). I think I've just got mine more under control than the the average joe. I don't want that to sound particularly brave. I just thought it through, and decided that the fear was irrational, and tried to put it to one side.

This culminated recently, when I finally managed to work up the extreme courage (stupidity) to have a nice big tarantula walk over my hands. (A valid, rational fear present here, because she could have hurt me by hair flinging or biting.) I was amazed by the sensation, or rather, lack of sensation. She was so gentle, I hardly could tell she was there. I'd have noticed a fly more! Almost the only way I could tell where she was putting her legs on my hands was by watching.

PS. Out of the two of us, she was taking the larger risk. If I had dropped her, the fall would have very likely have at least broken a leg, if not killed her.

Would a Playboy Bunny count as a pet?

If Pokemon were real, I'd have a Mew. It's really rare, but really cute!

...heh, never thought you'd hear a 16-year old male say that, huh?
