Lon Chaney Sr once said: "There's nothing funny about a clown at midnight."

I suppose that whomever dreamed up this "clown lives matter" thing thought that the nation needed it to "lighten up" in this moment of public hyperseriousness.

I am not without sympathy for that, but...there are just too many issues involved...too many sensitivities. Race being just one of many issues.

They should just drop the whole thing.

Clown Lives Matter... maybe to clowns but not to me.

Being a clown is a choice, a seriously bad choice.

I grew up with Red Skelton a true clown inside and out.
He could make you laugh, cry and think.
His hair was red, but he nose was not.

I lived in outside of Delavan, WI for a year in 1990. Delavan, for those of you that are into circus history, was the winter home of the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus. Until about 20 years ago, it was also home to the international clown museum, hall of fame and research library. It has since moved to Milwaukee.

I was just discussing the difference, between a good clown and a bad clown, with a developmentally-delayed five year old, yesterday, and pity the bad one.

I'm amazed no one's referenced Twisty the clown from American Horror Story, yet.

There could be a million clown march, to protest Killer Clowns from Outer Space and that clown from Spawn.

Seriously though, why did people have to ruin this. :|
