It’s Mr. Wolfman to you, Milly (Millennial)

My favorite color is red.

My favorite color is purple.

Whenever my parents say something obnoxiously conservative, my 8 year old son calls them “Boomers.” It’s hysterical.

That's so ironic----because the Boomers were probably, in general, the most liberal generation of all the generations.

Well, my parents are conservative.

Whenever a sentence starts out with “Kids these days...,” he yells “Boomer!”

When I heard that as a kid, I’d secretly roll my eyes, but it seems like kids are pushing back more.

It's sort of freaky how many Boomers became conservatives as they got older.

Many liberal creative figures have done the same thing---liberal when young, increasingly conservative as they age.

If only the Millennials knew these Boomers when they were their age....if only the Boomers can remember what it was like to be a kid and young adult.

Back in the 1960s, you had people saying "kids these days....", too...with that exact phraseology.

I think people have always said it.

When I pointed out a poem by Chaucer to my mom which pretty much says the same thing, she was not impressed because obviously kids are worse than ever before. LOL

Perhaps being actively aware of this tendency is the way to prevent it.

I wouldn't be surprised if older animals, conversing amongst themselves, say, "in our day, kids were......"

When my grandmother says to my mom that her kids listened unlike the grandchildren (especially me), mom says: “No, we didn’t.”

So she can see the silliness in her own case but not in the next generation. Hmmm...
