Need to know if I still qualify for ASD.

In terms of oversharing, non-reciprocal talk, socially inappropriate behavior, and social anxiety, I am affected in a way others take note of at least twice a week. That being said, I rarely speak to anyone but family, teachers, and one close friend. Any time I have spent 3 or more hours with peers, I've messed badly.

I'm impaired socially on a daily basis. Just went out to McDonald's with a friend who's significantly older than me. Afterwards he wanted to go to Costco and Best Buy to listen to some headphones. Total time was about two hours. It was stressful, but I need social interaction to stay sane... so I kind of get pulled both ways.

Not sure what you mean by "qualify for ASD". Autism is a spectrum.

I would say "fairly often."

Enough for people to think I'm "weird."

Enough to have been denied promotions, despite working at a place 36 years.

I mean, are my impairments Autistic-level or just normal introvertedness?

Though I suppose the presence of sensory issues, stims, fascination with parts of objects, etc, make me pretty AS too.

In order to really answer your question well, we'd have to see you in person, and hang out with you for a little while.
