Not sure where this belongs, but Random seems like an OK place.

Has anyone here gone on a cruise before? Anything I should be aware of/concerned about (as far as autism stuff)? Any recommendations as far as the type of cruise? I'm considering going on one for a vacation, and I've never been on a cruise before. I've been on boats, and I've never been seasick, so that's not really a concern. I've ruled out family cruises, for what I feel are obvious reasons. I'm single, but I doubt I'd really enjoy a singles cruise.

From what I recall when my aunt went (I didn’t go). Prices are based on double occupancy, two people in a cabin… If solo and want a private room; be prepared to pay. Also, the in-cabin bathrooms don’t work well.

I'm not worried about money. My job pays well. I'm just wondering if there are certain types of cruises I should avoid or go for. I don't like loud noise. So that's a concern.
