Last weekend, I saw two films for the first time: Spider-Man 3 and Princess Mononoke. Both of them were amazing (Princess Mononoke in particular). In fact, these are now officially up there with my favorite films including the Star Wars series, Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, Lord of the Rings trilogy, and more.

So anyway, what are your favorite movies? They can be of any genre, of course!

Crouching tiger hidden dragon, Hero, House of flying daggers...I love movies like these, ones where people are not who they appear to be.

Also:
American History X
American Beauty
Fear and loathing in Las Vagas

I used to have a thing for Vietnam war movies and before that spaghetti westerns.

I know I did this already, but here's my updated version:

Pan's Labyrinth
Lord of the Rings trilogy
GoodFellas
original Star Wars trilogy
Network
any Marx Brothers film (especially Duck Soup and A Night at the Opera)
Back to the Future trilogy
Apocalypse Now
Alien/Aliens
It's a Wonderful Life
The Incredibles
Fight Club
Dreamgirls
Xanadu
Happy Feet
Blue Velvet
Clerks/Clerks II
The Producers (the original, not the lame musical)
The NeverEnding Story
Waiting for Guffman
Pulp Fiction
The Goodbye Girl
Dragonheart
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Napoleon (1927 silent classic)
Citizen Kane
The Right Stuff
all the Harry Potter movies
The Goonies
the first two Indiana Jones movies (didn't care much for Last Crusade)
The Emperor's New Groove
Lilo & Stitch (BTW, f**k the TV series)
The Commitments
City Lights
The Gold Rush
Raging Bull

...and many more, but these are my absolute favorites.

I completely forgot about Pan's Labyrinth and Dragonheart, I love those films! :D (I still have to keep my eyes hidden for a lot of Pan's Labyrinth, though! :P )

Demolition Man ( because of the 1970 Oldsmobile 442, not Sylvester Stallone.)
Brain Candy
The Princess Bride
Shrek 1 and 2
Cars
Jurassic Park (only the first one, really)
Ma Vie En Rose
the original '60's Batman ( "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!")
Pulp Fiction
any movie with an Oldsmobile as one of the main cars...
