Once when I was helping an acquaintance I was able to witness someone intercepting a thief, but recently I was inside a gym and someone stole my sole running means of transport, that I reckoned to be reasonably secured. The police in my town are for the most part corrupt and I doubt they are doing their job, even though the people who took my report said they would take DNA IF my transport was recovered (emphasis mine). I just wonder what low-life twekers who like to steal are thinking, that someone is inside lifting weights and could come outside at any second

Condolences, and good luck finding a new ride. I used a bicycle only for several decades, and it was very good for me.
Generally, thieves are focussed on their own needs, but some also use vans, which make escape easy.
