When I do the AQ I score 37. However I see myself as just having ASD traits mainly centred socialisation deficits.
If anything I'd place myself much closer to N(V)LD .

This leads me to the question of false positive and false negative rates re scores on the AQ and actually having ASD.

Yes I do think the scores can be false positive or negative because someone taking it could be taking the questions too literal or it could be depending on how they feel about themselves and the questions are vague and they all want black and white answers. There is no in between.

My score is 28, putting me in between NT and AS. I did have responses of "Strongly Agree" on key indicators, notably special interests and many language related items.
